Work Scope
- Localize international nutrition and health research for the China market in collaboration with nutritionists, translating findings into compliant consumer-facing key messages aligned with Chinese health trends.
- Compile research into brochures and articles for dissemination through trade conferences, industry media, and social platforms.
- Promote WMO and SAPPA through the MZMC-owned Dried Fruit and Nuts Report (DFN) social media account.
- Conduct local laboratory testing to validate nutrient profiles for FDC and SAPPA.
- Develop nutrition toolkits used by Chilean exporters and major fruit retailers for marketing materials and in-store promotion.
- Work with health and lifestyle KOLs and academic experts to support conferences, workshops, webinars, and social media outreach.
- Coordinate legal review to ensure compliance with Chinese advertising regulations.
Outcomes
- Established accurate, locally validated nutrient tables and key nutritional strengths for Chilean cherries and South African pecans.
- Achieved broad trade exposure for compliant health messages through industry media and conferences, with over two thousand brochures distributed and three thousand impressions generated.
- Extended consumer reach through nutrition and lifestyle KOL amplification, generating eight million impressions and strong engagement.
- Enabled exporters and Chinese trade partners to apply these health messages in their own marketing to support consumption growth.
